SES NYC 2008

By Libby Waldo | March 18, 2008

As I sit here in the booth at SES NYC, day 2, I am incredibly impressed with how many people “get” what we are trying to accomplish.  It seems that the masses are finally ready to look beyond their current advertising outlets, and they want more.  More leads, more calls, more information…. We even had one advertiser come up and say, “I see Local on your booth - I’ve got to talk to you. I need to find the local consumers near me… and more importantly, I need them to find me.”

As someone who has been preaching the importance of Local and is in the marketing department for a company who defines themselves on Local, it not only relieves me to see this taking place, but excites me about the possibilities in the future.

It’s exciting to have advertisers, agencies, and clients of all types coming to us because of the importance of being part of the Local advertising environment - and to no longer have to convince them of that importance. It’s truly an exciting time and place to be a part of.
